Successfully completed NAAC Peer Team Visit on 13th and 14th November 2024
The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) peer team visited Sanjivani Rural Education Society’s Sanjivani Arts, Commerce and Science College, Kopargaon on November 13th and 14th, 2024, to assess its academic and infrastructural standards in accordance with the prescribed NAAC guidelines. The purpose of the visit was to evaluate the institution’s performance against various criteria such as quality of education, infrastructure, faculty, governance, student support, research output, and community engagement.

Each member brought their expertise in different academic fields and institutional functions, and their role was to comprehensively assess the institution’s quality in relation to NAAC’s standards.
First day visit started with, Introduction meeting with the Principal, Senior Faculty, and Governing Body members. Overview of the institution’s mission, vision, and educational objectives. Presentation of the Self-Study Report (SSR) submitted by the institution. Classroom visits to assess teaching methodologies, faculty engagement, and student participation. Discussions with students on academic experiences, extracurricular activities, and student welfare. Visit to the library, laboratories, and other academic resources. Meetings with the administration regarding governance, leadership, and strategic planning. Review of the institution’s infrastructure, including hostel facilities, sports complexes, and ICT support. Interaction with alumni and industry partners to gauge the institution’s community outreach and placement success. Review of research activities, publications, and innovations. Feedback session with faculty, staff, and students regarding institutional strengths and areas for improvement.
During the two-day visit, the peer team gathered insights into several key aspects of the institution: The institution was found to have a strong academic curriculum, regularly updated to reflect industry trends and academic advancements. Faculty members demonstrated a high level of expertise and engagement with students. The campus facilities, including classrooms, laboratories, and library, hostels, cafeteria, dispensary, gymkhana and sports facilities were well-maintained. The institution’s efforts to integrate technology into teaching and learning were appreciated. The institution demonstrated a commitment to research, with several faculty members publishing in reputed journals. The peer team noted the presence of ongoing research projects, though there was potential for more interdisciplinary collaborations. The institution offers a variety of student support services, including counseling, career guidance, and extracurricular activities. The peer team noted the active involvement of students in these programs. The institution’s outreach to the local community through various extension programs and partnerships with industry was recognized as a strength. The leadership and administrative systems were found to be transparent and effective. The governing body showed clear vision and commitment to improving the institution’s quality.
The NAAC team concluded its visit on a positive note, commending the institution’s overall academic quality and commitment to improving educational standards. The team expressed confidence that the institution is on the right path toward achieving continued excellence in higher education.
